Tikwei is a fine art student whose practice explores themes of mourning, impermanence, and emotional memory through painting and sculptural elements. His works are characterized by quiet, contemplative compositions that evoke fragility and the passage of time, often incorporating symbolic objects such as withered flowers, worn fabrics and abandoned toys. Through these everyday remnants, he reflects on presence and absence, allowing emotional traces to surface subtly. Rather than dramatising loss, Tikwei adopts a restrained visual language, using muted tones, texture and stillness—to create introspective spaces where grief unfolds gently and lingers over time.
