Afiq Romi earned his B.A (Hons) in Fine Art, Faculty of Art and Design from Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Shah Alam, in 2021. He is a multidisciplinary artist where his artistic features include works ranging from painting, drawing and also new media which have been exhibited both locally and internationally. Drawing from endless introspection and contemplation, his work explores personal memories and experiences, translating them into surreal imagery to capture the dreamlike nature of life. Inspired by interactions and observations, Afiq seeks to make sense of the unusual and the bizarre, revealing the hidden layers of everyday existence. At its core, his work reflects the evolving relationship between the self and the world, exploring the tension between personal identity, transformation, and the surreal aspects of lived experience.
